About the School:

Flathead Electric Co-op’s Community Solar projects, completed in 2015 and 2018, were some of Montana’s first Community Solar projects! Both projects are located on FEC property and provide a total of 167 kW DC of solar into FEC's community solar program. The systems were professionally installed by Jordan Solar, a Montana based solar installer.

Flathead Electric Cooperative is very proud of the fact that we installed some of Montana’s first Community Solar projects. We continue to demonstrate our willingness to develop local renewable energy projects and follows on the heels of our Landfill Gas Energy Plant, the Stoltze Lumber Biomass Generator, and the Whitefish Hydropower facility. In addition we have a very member friendly net metering policy and allow net metered systems up to 20kW in size. View our live data monitoring page for our 2015 project here and 2018 project here.
