In 2012, the Tillamook PUD installed a 6-kilowatt photovoltaic (PV) system at their main office in Tillamook, Oregon. This system is visible to the public and will be available as an educational tool. The system is comprised of all Oregon-made products; the SolarWorld PV modules were made in Hillsboro, the PV Powered DC-AC power inverter made in La Pine, and the SunStorage parking shelter made in Enterprise. The 2.52-kilowatt photovoltaic (PV) system installed at Trinity Lutheran College in 2010 reflects the school’s commitment to educate students, faculty, staff and community members about renewable sources of power. The system is a major element of their Rooftop Garden and Children’s Play Area.

The photovoltaic (PV) system features a single 2.52-kilowatt array of 12 Evergreen 210-watt PV modules. Under full sun conditions, the system could light more than 175 compact fluorescent lights. Over a year, it will produce more than 2,500 kilowatt-hours of clean, renewable energy.
